Crowdfunding Update

Tuesday April 14th 2020

Raith Rovers Director Andy Mill has been co-ordinating the recent fundraising efforts:

“Since the outbreak of the Covid – 19 virus and the resultant loss of income for Raith Rovers FC we have embarked on a fundraising crusade to ensure the clubs survival during this unprecedented crisis.

We appealed to our supporters on March 18th to donate whatever they could afford, even though many were facing an uncertain future as the virus spread across the globe.

We set up a crowdfunding page here with an initial target of £25,000. I was overwhelmed at the response as soon as this page was launched. We very quickly reached £1000 and donations came flooding in from Raith fans both at home and abroad. In addition, we received many donations from supporters of other football clubs.

Very quickly our total rose and within a few days our £25k target was met. Due to the huge volume of donations we reset our target to £50,000 and we are now closing in on that amount. However, we need a final push

I have been humbled by the many messages of support by those who have contributed. No matter how large or small the amount, every donation is very gratefully received. From the young lad who chipped in two pounds from his pocket money to the pensioner who sent a cheque for two thousand pounds, and everyone else in between, I thank you all for your generosity and for caring so passionately about our club.

We have also seen other fundraising initiatives established, with funds being paid direct into the club bank account to the tune of over £5k so far and Rovers Down South auctioning signed memorabilia.

Rovers supporter Rory Kilgour’s “Donate a Ticket” campaign is taking place here.

During this difficult time various supporters groups have rallied to the cause and I want to thank the following groups for their generous support:

The Jim Macmillan Club, Raith Rovers 200 Club, Rovers Down South,

Neebor’s of Geordie Munro, Raith Rovers Supporters Club, Fife’s Finest,

Hall of Fame Committee and Dysart Rovers (apologies to any groups missed from this list)

On behalf of the Raith Rovers Board of Directors, I would like to Thank You all for your continuing support.

Unfortunately, the most recent government advice would indicate that this situation will be with us for the foreseeable future and we will need your support to get us through this crisis.

If you can afford to donate then please do. Information can be found here:

Thank you”

Andy Mill – Director, RRFC.
