In addition to Connor O’Riordan who recently returned to Crewe Alexandra FC from his loan spell at the club, we can confirm the situation regarding other players in our squad:

Greig Young in action

19 year old defender Greig Young has returned to the club from his loan spell at SPFL League 2 Elgin City, to provide defensive cover in the Rovers ranks.

Greig came through the ranks of Fife Elite Football Academy and signed his first professional contract with the Rovers at the start of last season.

He played for The Black and Whites 18 times since joining the Borough Briggs side in early August 2022, and gained valuable first team matchday experience with Elgin whilst continuing to train with the Rovers squad.

Midfielder Quinn Coulson has been released from his contract by mutual consent, as he looks to continue his football career away from Stark’s Park.

The 19 year old who played as an attacking midfielder has made 13 appearances for the club since signing a professional contract after coming through the ranks at Fife Elite Football Academy.

Quinn also made 30 appearances on loan in SPFL League 2 with Cowdenbeath last season as the Blue Brazil were demoted to the Lowland League.

Rovers manager Ian Murray commented on Quinn’s departure, telling “I’d like to thank Quinn for all of his efforts during his time with Raith Rovers. Quinn felt that a new challenge was what he needed at this stage in his career – myself and all the coaching and backroom staff wish him well for the future”.

On – loan Aberdeen defender Kieran Ngwenya has had his loan deal at Stark’s Park extended until the end of the current season.

The 20 year old was initially signed on a loan deal until early January, and has already featured in 16 matches for the Rovers, operating mainly at left back and has impressed with his surging runs down the flank.

The extension of the loan agreement with Kieran allows the club to benefit from Kieran’s services, and the player will continue his development under the guidance of Ian Murray and Colin Cameron.
