No luck for Rovers at Hampden

Rovers arrived at the National Stadium with two changes to the starting line-up: Zak Rudden and Lewis Vaughan being restored to the first 11.

Rovers started on the front foot with Kyle Turner’s effort deflected wide. Rovers continued the momentum with Sam Stanton’s short deflected over the bar this time.

The game ebbed and flowed without either team taking any real control. Definitely defences on top with some good blocks from both sides.

Half-time: Queen’s Park 0-0 Raith Rovers

Rovers started the second half with a penalty appeal: Rudden going down in the box but the referee said no. Callum Ferrie was in fine form in the home goal and was denying Rovers on numerous occasions.

The game wasn’t short of goal-mouth scrambles but neither team could put one in the back of the net. All square at Hampden despite Rovers’ best efforts.

Full-time: Queen’s Park 0-0 Raith Rovers
