Raith Rovers FC are proud to announce that a new Club Physio has been appointed to oversee the care and rehabilitation of the playing squad.

As well as being a fully qualified Physiotherapist, Lauren Low is a lifelong Rovers supporter and started her new role with the club earlier this week, providing rehab advice to players in advance of pre-season training starting on Monday 12th June.

Lauren has already familiarised herself with the Stark’s Park playing surface, playing in the “LIVE THE DREAM” match at Stark’s Park back in August 2019 for the White team alongside the likes of Jock McStay, Marvin Andrews & Peter Hetherston (and Board member Ruaridh Kilgour), and found herself in direct opposition to Rovers current Assistant Manager Colin Cameron!

Speaking to www.raithrovers.net about her new position, Lauren said:

“Having been brought along to the Rovers as a supporter by my Dad (and having played football since an early age) my ambition was always to work within the game.

When I graduated, firstly with an Honours Degree in Sports Science and then a Masters Degree in Physiotherapy, my ultimate goal was always to get into working in full-time football.

I started at St. Johnstone FC, part time, alongside undertaking private clinical work then after a year there I was given the opportunity to work for Luton Town FC.

Working at Luton Town in their academy, while also helping with the first team in their quest for promotion to the English Premier League, meant I learnt so much about providing care to players and I was then ready to be fully immersed in the first team environment.

When the chance arose to work for my local team and progress into working solely with the first team I saw it as a great opportunity.

I’m delighted to join Raith Rovers Football Club in what is an exciting time for the club.

With myself and my family all being lifelong supporters of the club, I’m hugely looking forward to being a part of what will hopefully be a very successful period both on and off the pitch for The Rovers”.

Welcome Aboard Lauren!
