The club were saddened to hear of the death of former manager Jimmy Millar yesterday (20th October 2022) aged 87.

A centre forward in his playing days with Dunfermline, Rangers and Dundee United – Millar managed the Rovers from 1969 to 1970 after retiring from playing and also represented the Scotland national team twice in the early 1960’s.

In 2017, it was revealed by his family that for the preceding decade Millar had been suffering from dementia, a condition they believed to be linked to his heading a football.

RIP Jimmy Millar.
