Rovers’ strips bring joy to Malawi children
Kieran Ngwenya is no longer the only Malawian currently wearing a Rovers’ strip.
Last year, Rovers supporters group The Neeburs o’ Geordie Munro, supported by Professor Brian Kelly from Glasgow University (from the Scotland Malawi Partnership), donated 5 large heavy holdalls of Rovers’ used training kit to Zomba in Malawi.

The kit was shared between the Prison Service in Malawi for their football team, and to the local community in Zomba for kids in schools.
The Neeburs were delighted to receive some pictures reflecting the joy and delight felt by the kids in receiving their strips. We guess the Malawi Prison Service’s football team don’t release team photos!
