Football Unites Against Discrimination

Friday April 30th 2021

Supporters are reminded that our social media channels will fall silent from 3pm on Friday 30th April until 23:59 on Monday 3rd May, in line with sports clubs all over the country, in support of the movement to end discrimination on social media.

Uniting under the hashtag #FootballUnites, the campaign points out that incidences of online hate can reach a very large audience and should be treated as seriously as any other hate crime.

Supporters are urged to Recognise, Report and Support:

Recognise – Racism is prejudice or discrimination towards a person or people based on their ethnicity, nationality, religion and/or culture.

Report – Document, screenshot and Report online incidents to Police Scotland by calling 101

Support – Support victims of racism by Listening. Do Your Bit by speaking out against incidences of casual racism, and report incidents to Police Scotland.

Rovers bow out of their two year stay in the Premier League playing their final fixture against Hibs at Stark's Park in front of 6274. The match ends 1-1 with Peter Duffield scoring Rovers goal.
