Supporters are reminded that our social media channels will fall silent from 3pm on Friday 30th April until 23:59 on Monday 3rd May, in line with sports clubs all over the country, in support of the movement to end discrimination on social media.

Uniting under the hashtag #FootballUnites, the campaign points out that incidences of online hate can reach a very large audience and should be treated as seriously as any other hate crime.

Supporters are urged to Recognise, Report and Support:

Recognise – Racism is prejudice or discrimination towards a person or people based on their ethnicity, nationality, religion and/or culture.

Report – Document, screenshot and Report online incidents to Police Scotland by calling 101

Support – Support victims of racism by Listening. Do Your Bit by speaking out against incidences of casual racism, and report incidents to Police Scotland.
