Not everyone is caught up in the London Olympics fever. Thirty very keen young footballers took part in the first week of this summer’s Fun Time Football coaching sessions at the all-weather pitches of Kirkcaldy High school.

Coaches Dave Costello and Chris Cooper assisted by Ryan Cassidy and David Gilchrist put the youngsters through their paces and the coaching team were delighted at the quality and enthusiasm of the players.

Top of the bunch was David Balfour who was awarded the Star of the Week trophy for his skills and his learning capacity. Daniel, a pupil at Sinclairtown Primary School will be 9 this month and can play in all positions, even in Goal.

Week two starts on Monday and if you want to come along and join in the fun phone the club on 01592 263514 for details. Ages 5-12. The cost is £5 per day or £25 for the week. The second and final week runs from Monday to Friday from 9.30am until 11.30am.
