Fans attending #Allysgame on Sunday have been urged to join in a minute’s applause in memory of Ally Gourlay. It will happen in the 53rd minute of the match involving two teams of Raith Rovers legends – that was Ally’s age when he died in February, two years after being given six months to live on the back of being told he had terminal cancer. The players will also take part in the minute’s applause – and the organisers hope everyone in the stadium  joins in.

The game kicks-off at 2.30 p.m. with admission just £10/ £5 pay at the door.

The game will feature two teams of Rovers legends who will all wear strips specially made for the occasion. They all feature the words ‘ talk about the times, the love and the laughing’ – Ally’s own approach to living with cancer.

There will also be a souvenir programme produced for the match.

Net proceeds will go to Maggie’s Fife and Raith Rovers Youth Development.
