Raith Rovers Ladies are planning to be back in the Scottish Women’s Football League next season, with the first step being to recruit an experienced coach, with the help of the new Raith Rovers Community Foundation. The Ladies team is hoping to capitalise on the renewed interest from local girls and women following the recent Women’s World Cup, and also to build on the record numbers of girls playing football for Raith Rovers Girls teams.

Paul Doig, Head of Community Football at the Foundation, explained, “I am delighted to assist Raith Rovers Ladies to be back up and running, and get more women in the Kirkcaldy area playing football”, while Sam Milne, East Region Development Officer for Girls and Womens’ Football for the SFA, added, “Raith Rovers LGFC is a fast growing club which has worked hard to develop a full pathway for girls playing football, and I am pleased to be able to help them re-establish their womens’ team”.

If interested in the position, Paul can be contacted at community@raithrovers.net for more information.
