Earlier this afternoon, after having been driven south by our Sports Therapist Stuart Phin, Lewis saw one of the country’s leading specialists on knee surgery, Steve Bollen, at the Yorkshire Clinic.

The initial diagnosis is now confirmed. Lewis has a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament, which means he now faces surgery followed by a rehabilitation programme. He will unfortunately miss most of this season.

It goes without saying that everyone at the club wishes Lewis a full and speedy recovery, and here at raithrovers.net we will post regular bulletins on his progress.
