Were you on the ferry to the Faroes?
It’s been a long thirty years since Raith Rovers embarked on our UEFA Cup Campaign.
The first away match was in Toftir in the Faroe Islands and a small group of about 40 – 50 Rovers supporters took the 26 hour long ferry to get there, and had to stay for a week until the next ferry back home!
The Fife Derby match on 22nd August is exactly 30 years to the day since that match in Toftir and to celebrate this, there is a group of the Faroes Ferry Survivors assembling together to do matchday hospitality.
They are looking to track down other supporters that were on that ferry. If you were and would like to join them at hospitality this Friday night, then please get in touch with Steve Wallace by emailing him: steven_wallace@btinternet.com.
