Raith Rovers are delighted to officially welcome Davey Byrne to the club as our General Manager.

On joining the club, Davey said: “I’m delighted to join Raith Rovers and I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to help move the club forward.

“Its clear how much the club means to the people of Kirkcaldy. It’s part of the fabric of the town, and you can feel that. The warmth and enthusiasm from everyone I’ve spoken to so far has been brilliant.

“Football clubs are at their best when they have a strong connection to their community and I’m excited to play a part in that here.”

Davey enters the role with a wealth of experience, having worked with Montrose and Cove Rangers in the SPFL, and most recently with Lowland League side Caledonian Braves.

A statement from the RRFC Board of Directors reads:

“We are delighted to announce that Davey Byrne has accepted our offer to become the club’s new General Manager,

“From his time at Montrose in particular, Davey has extensive experience leading commercial strategy with local businesses, ensuring they receive the value from their financial commitment and the deeper connection with their football club that they want.

“He also brings strong expertise in matchday operations and community engagement, areas where Montrose have built a well-deserved reputation as one of Scotland’s leading community clubs.

“His time at Caledonian Braves has given him valuable experience in creative and innovative thinking, particularly around branding, marketing and storytelling, which underpins their success as a fan-owned club built through crowdfunding.

“We are excited for Davey to hit the ground running and become part of the team.”

Davey began his new role today and will work closely with the Board and staff at the club. Everyone at Raith Rovers extends a warm welcome to Davey and look forward to working with him going forward.
