WELCOME, AIDEN MARSH!

Raith Rovers Football Club is excited to announce the signing of striker Aiden Marsh on loan from English League One side Barnsley until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old English forward brings energy, a strong work ethic, and a keen eye for goal to the squad as we look to strengthen our options up front for the months ahead.

Aiden began his football journey in the Barnsley Academy before joining Sheffield United at just eight years old, where he initially played as a left-back.

He returned to Barnsley’s youth setup in 2014, where he developed into a forward and signed his first professional contract in September 2020.

Since making his senior debut for Barnsley in January 2022 against Bournemouth in the EFL Championship, Aiden has gained valuable experience across different levels of English football.

Loan spells at Scunthorpe United and York City allowed him to showcase his talent, with his relentless drive and technical ability making him a standout performer.

Most recently, the highly regarded young talent featured prominently for York City earlier last season, making seven appearances before being recalled by his parent club and earning Barnsley’s 2023/24 Young Player of the Season award.

Aiden commented,

I pride myself on hard work and I will always give it my all.

I can’t wait to meet all the fans on Sunday and really kick start my time here.”

“I would like to welcome Aiden to the Club.

He is a young, hungry player who wants to score goals and put opposition teams under pressure with his running power.

He will compliment the strikers we already have at the Club.”

Aiden will join up with the squad for training tomorrow, and will be available for selection on Sunday.
