Two Loan Signings
With the SPFL League 1 transfer window about to close and several key positions in the Rovers first team squad affected by injury, Rovers management team of John McGlynn and Paul Smith have been working tirelessly to secure the signings of 2 key players on loan until January 2019:
Callum Crane
A highly rated left – back, Callum (22) has joined the Rovers on loan from SPFL Premiership side Livingston until January 2019.
He started in Edinburgh youth football at AC Oxgangs and then progressed through the Hibernian Academy, signing a professional contract in January 2015. Callum moved on loan in November 2015 to SPFL League 2 Berwick Rangers where he remained for the rest of the 2015/16 season and then was loaned out again, to Alloa Athletic, in August 2017. HE helped The Wasps gain promotion to the SPFL Championship in the playoffs at the end of season 2017 – 18.
Callum signed a two-year contract with Livingston in June 2018 on his release from Easter Road.
Regan Hendry
Central midfield playmaker Regan (aged 20) has joined Rovers on loan again from John McGlynn’s former club Celtic, signing until January 2019.
He first joined Rovers on-loan from Celtic in the second half of last season, making 10 starts and 3 substitute appearances for the Rovers.
Regan joined the reigning SPFL Premier League champions as a 15 year old from Hutchison Vale and captained the Scottish Champions’ Development team in season 2017 – 18.
Welcome to the Rovers!
