John Robertson joined Raith Rovers in the summer of 2026, after his contract with East Kilbride came to an end.

‘Robbo’ began his career in the youth ranks at St Johnstone and featured sporadically in the first team during his teenage years.

It was at Edinburgh City where John would make a splash, helping the Citiziens to promotion from League Two, before scoring 13 league goals in the third tier, to earn himself a move to Linfield.

After what turned out to be a short spell in Northern Ireland, John returned to Scotland and signed for East Kilbride, to begin a fruitful career under the management of Mick Kennedy. The attacker won back-to-back Lowland League titles and subsequently promotion to League Two.

John was far from done however, taking his form in the SPFL, to help fire EK to the 2025/26 League Two title. Robbo also claimed the PFA League Two Player of the Season award, finishing the campaign as the top scorer across the entire SPFL.
