Anton Dowds signed for Raith Rovers in July 2026, penning a one-year-deal with the club.

An Edinburgh native, the powerful striker began his career with Herriot Watt University, before making the move to the SPFL with East Fife.

Having impressed at Bayview, he earned a move into full-time football with Falkirk, where he would remain for two seasons. During the latter end of his time at the club, Anton experienced his first taste of Championship football during a loan spell with Arbroath.

After scoring five goals in 18 games for the Angus club, Anton made the move to Partick Thistle in 2022.

Following one season, the forward would once again find himself on loan, enjoyed a fruitful season with Ayr United in the 2023/24 season.

Anton would later make his move to Somerset Park a permanent one, where he remained until the summer of 2026 when he signed for the Rovers.
