Sean Mackie On Loan To Raith Rovers
Raith Rovers are delighted to have Hibernian defender Sean Mackie on loan until the end of this season.
The club would like to thank Hibernian for their help and co-operation in making this loan possible. Sean is no stranger to the Rovers, as he is an academy graduate to Raith Rovers signing his first professional contract in 2015 with the Rovers under the management of Ray McKinnon. Sean then signed for Hibernian in February 2016 and we now welcome him back to Stark’s Park.
Sean has successfully played a number of 1st team games for Hibernian FC against top flight opposition in both domestic and cup competitions. Sean is quick, athletic and has a great range of passing. We are looking forward to Sean joining the squad and welcome him back to the Rovers.
Manager John McGlynn said, “he was delighted to add Sean to the squad in light of the injury sustained by Tom Lang, consequently leaving us short in the defence, Sean can play in a few positions, predominantly a left back but can also play in central defence and in central midfield, his experience will be invaluable from now until the end of the season”.
