Raith Rovers ran out comfortable winners against Clyde in today’s First Round of the SFA Youth Cup at Stark’s Park.

Despite going behind after only nine minutes to an own goal, the young Rovers showed great composure getting back into the game.  Two impressive strikes from Lewis Vaughan allowed the team to go in at half time with a lead.  A second half double from Callum Robertson, one an impressive 25 yard free kick, secured the victory.  Although Clyde scored a good headed goal from a corner midway through the second half, a Rovers win always looked the likely outcome.

The draw for the Second Round has Raith Rovers playing away to Falkirk on Sunday 20th October.  Kick-off time has still to be confirmed.
