The players, management and backroom team as well as Roary Rover spent an excellent afternoon on Monday firstly at Victoria Hospital and then at Maggies Centre, Kirkcaldy. It was great to spend time and meet some young and not so young fans in the Children’s ward and then the hospice where players distributed gifts and chatted to patients, staff and visitors.

The final scheduled visit was to Maggies Centre where it was impressive and enlightening to see the great work the centre does for both cancer patients and relatives and friends.

After this, there was just enough time for Roary and some of the players to make a whirlwind visit to Ward 53 to surprise one of the nurses (Stephanie) who is a Rovers fan but unfortunately can’t get to as many games as she would like due to her shift work but it certainly made her Christmas!

These visits are a humbling experience and very rewarding for everyone connected to Raith Rovers. The Club are always made very welcome by patients, relatives and staff alike. On behalf of everyone at stark’s Park, Thank You and best wishes to everyone for the festive period and beyond.
