This weekend, Roary continued his preparation for the new season with a trip through to Edinburgh to check out new Championship rivals Hearts and Hibernian.  With Rovers due to travel to the capital four times this season, starting with a trip to Easter Road on the 4th October, Roary took the opportunity to visit both grounds to make sure he knew the quickest route from Stark’s Park.

It wasn’t all hard work though as Roary found time to relax in the capital too, taking in Edinburgh Castle, the Scottish Parliament and also completed surely a world first by being the first lion to travel on the new Edinburgh tram system! He enjoyed his trip and received a great reaction from other passengers onboard who were delighted to welcome their special visitor from the Kingdom of Fife. His only disappointment was finding out that there were no lion concessions and that the route didn’t go past the Zoo…

Roary and friends will be back out next Sunday 13th where they are scheduled to visit the Kingdom Centre in Glenrothes. If you are in the area, pop along from midday to say “hello” and get your picture taken with the Ramsdens Cup too! if any primary children have not yet joined the Roary Club, you can sign up on the day or simply email roaryclub@raithrovers.net with the child’s name, address, date of birth and parents name to receive their free membership packs.
