A lifelong Rovers supporter, Colin (along with his grandsons Gordon and Callum in recent years) has been attending matches at Stark’s Park for over 60 years.

In April 2022 it was announced that his most prominent business in the town – Kirkcaldy’s premier hotel The Dean Park – is now a partner of the football club going forward, which includes the Dean Park being the clubs home shirt sponsor for the 2022-23 season.

Colin and his wife Margaret also established, developed and ran Kingdom Homes (a successful residential care provider with 12 homes across the Kingdom of Fife) for nearly 40 years until earlier this year.

Alongside the existing RRFC Directors (Chairman Steven MacDonald, Susan Simpson, John Sim & Tom Morgan) Mr Smart will take a full part in the running of the football club going forward.

Speaking to www.raithrovers.net about his appointment, Mr Smart commented “I am delighted to accept the position of Director on the Raith Rovers FC board. It’s a privilege to be part of this new chapter of the club I have supported for over 60 years.”

The RRFC Board of Directors added “The club extends a warm welcome to Colin Smart, a successful businessman who brings extensive experience to the board. This is an exciting time for the club and we are looking forward to working with Colin”
