New Head of Sports Science
We’d like to welcome Mac Kenney to Raith Rovers as our new Head of Sports Science.
Mac started working in the SPFL for Edinburgh City alongside studying when he was 17.
After graduating, he then worked for Alloa Athletic and Swedish club Ytterhogdals IK for a year before returning home and joining Kelty Hearts, where he worked with CEO Andrew Barrowman and General Manager Dean Mckenzie and achieved back to back promotions.
He then joined Dundee and again helped the team to win promotion, this time to the Premiership.
Mac commented, “I am delighted to have joined a forward thinking, ambitious club. It’s exciting times at Raith so when Potts phoned me I was eager to come and be a part of it. Working with Dean and Barra again is something I’m really looking forward to. The three promotions I’ve had have fuelled my desire to keep achieving and I believe I’m at a club where we can do that. The first few days of pre-season have been very physically demanding but credit to the boys who’ve all came back in excellent condition. I look forward to improving the squad’s fitness further, working with the gaffer and backroom staff here, and hopefully contributing to the success of the club.“
