It was the first day of the new term at Stark’s Park today with a number of new faces joining the club.

We are first of all delighted to confirm that we have completed the signing of striker Christian Nade. The former Dundee and Hearts star wasted no time in dashing through to Kirkcaldy this afternoon, on his return from France, to sign on the dotted line. He will join the first team squad for a full training session at Glenrothes on Monday.

Christian wasn’t the only signing today, however. We are also pleased to welcome 3 new apprentices to Raith Rovers. Midfielder Kieran Campbell (18), forward Jonny Court (also 18) and goalkeeper Scott Law (17) have all been taken on on 2 year contracts.

Two more new signings are imminent, so watch out for further announcements over the next 48 hours.

Finally for today, we are also very fortunate to have secured the services of a new full time sports therapist, Dave Jenkins. Dave will play a key role in maintaining player fitness and injury recovery. This is a key appointment to strengthen the backroom team. His predecessor, Jim Law, leaves us to concentrate on his main employment, with our sincere thanks for his sterling service last season.
