Ross County vs Raith Rovers
Line Up
Report
Rovers started Saturday’s match in Dingwall looking fired up and going at County from the opening minute.
The teams went back-and-forth a bit, with both sides getting chances on goal but neither taking the advantage.
As it edged towards half an hour played, Jordan White put County ahead with a powerful header inside the box.
We entered for half-time behind but not out of it, with Rovers still looking dangerous whenever they broke forward.
Rovers took that same drive into the second half, with Callum Smith doing very well to connect onto a lovely Lewis Stevenson cross and find an equaliser after 51 minutes.
After the goal, Rovers looked comfortable and confident, with Dylan Easton’s chance probably the closest. After weaving into the box, his shot flew just wide of the post and it remained level.
It started to look destined for a draw until County burst forward again, taking advantage of tired legs at the back.
George Harmon pounced on his chance and it was 2-1 to the hosts with minutes to go.
With a point the least Rovers deserved to take from the match, the end result was a frustrating one, however progression is still on the cards if we pick up three points in our final group stage match.
