Raith kicked off their pre-season proceedings on Saturday, drawing 2-2 with Hamilton Accies at Starks Park.

Hamilton got things underway and took little time in opening the scoring after Dom Thomas squeezed a shot in by the near post in the 6^th minute.

The visitors scored again 20 minutes later, with Stephen Hendrie’s ball across the six-yard box finding the net after a close-range finish from Kalvin Orsi.

Raith changed things up with eight changes at half-time, which saw the introduction of Millen, Telfer, Brown, Robertson, Montagu, Gibson, Vaughan and a trialist.

Vaughan got himself on the scoresheet in the 76^th minute after a neat set-piece move allowed the Rovers man to deftly head the ball goalwards from around six yards out.

Raith would equalise in similar fashion seven minutes later, with a corner to the back post headed back across goal. Vaughan was there to meet, jumping to head the ball home for his second of the match.

Things were brought to a close around ten minutes later, completing a valuable run-out for the Rovers just days into their pre-season routine.

With 15 days until the League Cup commences at home to Elgin, and 36 days until the League campaign gets underway at home to Stenhousemuir, Raith first look to another pre-season friendly against Edinburgh City at Starks this Tuesday.
