Rovers made it 6/6 points with another Premier Sports Cup win, this time against Stranraer.

It appeared to be the perfect start as Josh Mullin flicked a cross to Jack Hamilton inside the box. Without hesitation, Hamilton smacked the ball into the roof of the net and we were ahead within the first few minutes.

Rovers performed well in the first half, keeping possession and looking solid across the back-line.

A great move saw Callum Smith dart into the box, however his shot was saved well and palmed out for a corner.

We started the second half looking like we’d be extending our lead, however with five minutes to go, Elliot Dunlop fired an equaliser past an outstretched Kevin Dabrowski.

At that point, it seemed destined to run its course and go down to penalties for the extra point.

But, at 89 minutes we won a free-kick just in front of the corner flag.

Lewis Gibson crossed in, and Euan Murray leapt up to head home with the winner.
