After their cup winning exploits last weekend, Raith Rovers are back to league action this Saturday, as they welcome Morton to Stark’s Park.

Ian Murray’s side are currently eighth in the Championship table, although the league is so tight they’re level on points with fifth placed Rovers, with four teams all bunched up in the middle of the league on 36 points.

However, with Rovers busy winning the KDM Evolution Trophy against Inverness Caledonian Thistle last Sunday, they have played a game fewer than the Cappielow team.

This will be Murray’s side second successive trip to Fife, following a 3-1 loss to Dunfermline last weekend at East End Park.

This will be the clubs fourth and final meeting of the season, with Rovers unbeaten in the three fixtures so far.

Raith won the first game at Cappielow in September thanks to Dylan Easton’s goal sealing a 1-0 win.

The last fixture at Stark’s Park in November saw the game finishing 1-1, despite the home side leading going into the final few seconds thanks to a first half effort from Jack Hamilton.

However, a 91^st minute goal from Kris Moore saw Morton share the spoils.

There was a similar outcome at Cappielow in February, albeit chances were at a real premium in a game that finished scoreless.

Matches finishing all square between these two are starting to become a trend, with four of the last five finishing in a draw, and looking further back, six from the last nine.
