Match Preview
Raith Rovers are back in action at Starks Park this Saturday, with Greenock Morton the visitors.
The two teams had contrasting fortunes last weekend, with Rovers getting back to winning ways with a 2-0 win over a previously in-form Partick Thistle, while Morton went down to a heavy 4-0 defeat to St Johnstone.
Raith’s win lifted them up a place in the table to fifth and are now just a point behind Ayr United and Arbroath, while Morton are down to eighth, a point above the relegation zone.
Only the top three teams in the league have lost fewer games than Dougie Imrie’s side, but wins for them have been in short supply, with just one so far.
Eight of their 12 Championship games have ended up as draws, with five of them ending up one apiece.
Rovers did come out on top in the season’s previous meeting at the start of September though, with Dylan Easton’s only goal enough to settle a tight affair.
That win brought and end to a poor sequence of results for Rovers in this fixture, with their last win almost two years and six games earlier in October 2023, in a game notable for both Raith goals in the 2-1 win coming courtesy of two Aidan Connolly headers.
Saturday’s match referee will be Colin Steven.
Head-To-Head Record:
Raith Rovers wins: 60
Greenock Morton wins: 69
