Match Preview

Raith Rovers are back on the road this Saturday, as they head to Almondvale to take on an in-form Livingston side.

Dave Martindale’s side are unbeaten in the league this season, and are four points behind leaders Falkirk with a game in hand.

They go into this one on the back of an excellent 2-1 win at Ayr United last Saturday, racing into a two goal lead thanks to Robbie Muirhead and Scott Pittman, before a fine rear-guard action from the visitors halted a comeback from the Honest Men.

Last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Queen’s Park leaves Rovers in eighth place in the table, one point behind Hamilton but having played a game fewer.

The two sides have met once already this season, back at Stark’s Park in August, and despite a fine performance from Rovers, they lost out by a goal to nil thanks to a last minute goal from Jamie Brandon.

That made it five wins in a row for Livi in this fixture, with Rovers last win coming in 2016, when a goal from Aidan Connolly sealed all three points.

Saturday’s match referee will be Ross Hardie.

Head-to-Head Record:

Livingston wins: 31

Raith Rovers wins: 31

Draws: 11
