Match Preview
Raith Rovers entertain Airdrieonians at Stark’s Park this Saturday, in a game which could potentially have huge ramifications at both ends of the table.
Raith’s win over Ayr United last Saturday, combined with Partick Thistle’s loss at Airdrie meant that the gap between Rovers and Thistle in fourth is now down to three points with four games to play.
Airdrie’s win, and fine form in general now sees them just three points behind Dunfermline who are ninth and five behind eighth placed Hamilton.
Considering the current trend in this fixture, the smart money would be on this finishing 1-0 to either side, with 10 of the last 12 meetings between the two ending in that scoreline.
All three games in this campaign have ended 1-0, with Airdrie winning on the opening day of the campaign at the Albert Bartlett Stadium.
Scott Brown’s fine finish at Stark’s Park in October was enough for Neill Collins side to take all three points in October, but Airdrie won again 1-0 in February.
Saturday’s match referee will be Ryan Lee
Head-To-Head Record:
