Raith Rovers legend, Julian Broddle has this month released his new autobiography, Down The Line.

This book is about Julian, a former professional footballer in the English and Scottish football leagues. It shares with you the up and coming rising star from the tender age of six years old when he was picked up by a local club right through his professional career, including the famous league and cup double for Raith Rovers.

This true life story then takes Julian through his second career as a police officer with South Yorkshire and Greater Manchester Police.

The stories will have you laughing and sometimes sitting on the edge of your seat. It is an honest and gripping story of a football legend and heroic police officer and all round good guy.

Julian joined Raith Rovers on 14th July 1993 from Partick Thistle. He went on to make one hundred and eight appearances and scored just one goal – against St. Johnstone in  a 2-0 victory on 31st December 1994.

He went on to be part of the historic 1994 Coca Cola Cup winning team and also played in every minute of the six games in the Rover’s UEFA cup run the following year. Julian left Rovers on 14th March 1996 to join East Fife.

Julian will be appearing at the Raith Trust Quiz Night in the Raith Suite on Thursday 28th September, and doing a book reading and Q&A, as well as signing and selling books on the night. This annual event is almost fully booked up, but please contact events@raithtrust.org.uk for details.

Look out for other appearances from Julian at Stark’s Park in the coming weeks.

The book is available for download and paperback from www.amazon.co.uk
