Raith Rovers can today confirm the return of John Sim to the Board of Directors as Interim Chairman.

A familiar face to many at the club, John played a key role in the 2005 ‘Reclaim the Rovers’ takeover. Through this, he also became owner of Stark’s Park via Stark’s Park Properties, where he remains the majority shareholder.

In 2017, Stark’s Park Properties acquired a majority stake in the football club. At the same time, John’s vision to embed Raith Rovers more deeply within the local community was reflected in the installation of an astroturf surface, helping transform the stadium into a year-round community hub rather than a venue used only on matchdays.

In 2023, a consortium of six investors acquired a majority stake in the club from Stark’s Park Properties. John has remained active in offering his advice and expertise in an informal capacity, and we are delighted to now welcome him back in an official role.

Following a Board meeting last Friday ahead of the match, John was voted onto the Board and has agreed to serve as Interim Chairman for the foreseeable future.

There is unanimous agreement that he will play an important role in supporting the club’s continued growth on and off the pitch, particularly in strengthening ties with the local community even further.
