The club is sad to announce the death of Richard Kopocinski, twin brother of the late Michael Kopocinski.

Richard passed away suddenly, but peacefully, after a short illness on Monday 27th June 2022. The Funeral service for Richard took place at Kirkcaldy Crematorium on Wednesday, 27th July, at 12.45pm,

Affectionately known as the ‘Kopos’, Richard and his brother were well known to Rovers’ fans having been members of the Supporters’ Club and the 200 Club – having supported the team home and away since their early teenage years. Richard’s last game was Rovers’ 7-1 win against Dunbar United – just 2 days before he died.

Richard was also an avid Scotland fan and travelled the world to many internationals, decked out in his kilt. He was also a founding member of the Neeburs o’ Geordie Munro, being a member for over 30 years, and enjoyed socialising and speaking German with his Schanzer friends.

Richard was an amazing character, totally sincere in everything he did, and enjoyed life to the full. RIP Richard.
