Raith Rovers is delighted to announce the details of its 2nd Annual Golf Day, following on from the success of the inaugural event last summer. The date is set for a Sunday this time, in response to views expressed at last year’s midweek event. The chosen date is SUNDAY 24th APRIL 2016.

The venue this year moves along the road to the extremely picturesque setting of Burntisland Golf Club. Set just off the Kinghorn Loch Road at the start of the town, the course commands magnificent views over the Forth to Edinburgh and up-river to the bridges. So even if your golf is, shall we say, sub-standard on the day – then you have the not insubstantial consolation of a fantastic setting to enjoy.

The plan for the day is similar to last time. Teams will be made up of four players, to include one Raith Rovers player (or legend), and will play in a Texas Scramble format. Teams of three can await the lucky draw to be allocated their RRFC player/legend to make up their team. Alternatively, although terms like ‘fix’ and ‘bribery’ are such ugly words, we are nonetheless open to both options should your team have a special request regarding its fourth member…

The timetable looks like this:

11am onwards: Arrival, Registration; Tea/Coffee & Bacon Rolls
12.45pm: Head for your Allocated Tee
1pm: Shotgun Start
5pm: Return to Clubhouse
5.30pm: Two-course Dinner
6.30pm: After-Dinner Speaker & Presentation of Awards; Raffle Prize Draw
7pm: Finish (Bar will remain open as long as required)

All this is offered at the very competitive price of £195 (inc. VAT) per team.  Plus, of course, any ‘extras’ regarding choice of RRFC representative.

We shall confirm the list of Raith Rovers participants as this grows – but we are already assured of a stellar turn-out. So please don’t delay, and make your bookings as soon as possible.

Email the club at commercial@raithrovers.net, or call 01592 263514 (option 2) to register interest.

Further publicity will be issued as remaining details are finalised.
