Footgolf Funday
Ever shouted at a player “I can do better than that?”, well now is the chance to prove it! We are delighted to be hosting our very first ever Footgolf Funday in aid of the Rovers Development Squad on Sunday 15th October at Cluny Activity Centre.
Footgolf is today one of the fastest growing sports, which mixes the precision skills of football with the principles of golf. Played on an 18-hole golf course, the aim is to sink a football into a specially designed cup taking as few shots as possible…and it’s much harder than it looks! This is sure to be a great day where teams of 3 will be joined by a 4th ‘professional’ from either Craig Easton, Barry Smith, our up and coming stars from the development squad, or even a former player or two!
Included in the entry fee of £40 per person is:
- Bacon Roll and Tea/ Coffee on arrival at 10.30am
- Hire of a football
- 18 hole round with teams of 3 people plus a player, manager or former player
- Individual and team prizes
- Special competition prizes
- Hot buffet lunch
We are looking for teams of 3 to take part (or if you can’t get a 3 together but are happy to play in a mix party, let us know). There is no minimum or maximum age to take part but entrants must be able to complete a full round of footgolf (once around Cluny Golf Course) which is physically testing and will take around 1.5 to 2 hours to complete. No football boots are permitted but Rovers tops most certainly are! Note that once we have filled every place and confirmed our guests, we will be giving those taking part the opportunity to bid up and specify their Rovers representative to play alongside on the day!
As this is a fundraiser, every penny of profit will go back into the Rovers. We are therefore on the lookout for trophy sponsors & hole sponsors. This is a very affordable way to support the event, and gain some publicity too so if you would like to contribute, we would be delighted to hear from you and have the package to suit your budget!
For bookings, please email commercial@raithrovers.net. Thank you everyone for your support!
