Raith Rovers paid a visit to the Childrens Ward at Victoria Hospital on Friday of last week.

Manager Grant and First Team Coach Laurie were accompanied by the full first team squad and fans rep David Wann. The group toured the children’s ward along with mascot Roary (Ross Laidlaw) taking it in turn to chat to the patients, their family members and staff, handing out presents and signing autographs.

Two year old Calvin Lamond, along with big sister Milly (6) and Mum Donnat and Dad Stuart from Dunfermline, were delighted to spend time with Joe Cardle and Jason Thomson especially as Calvin’s uncles are former  Raith players Jason and Lee Dair.

Two young Raith fans Ashleigh and Kerri Dinnel took time out to wrap the gifts that were distributed to the patients and staff which, as in previous years, were supplied by Raith Rovers Supporters Club.

Children’s ward Play Specialist Amanda Williamson thanked the manager, players and Raith Rovers for the visit and there generosity and wished everyone at Starks Park a Merry Christmas and a successful New year.
