On Monday, Paul McCaffery from Cahonas Scotland spoke with the squad to raise awareness about testicular cancer.

Testicular cancer is the most common form of cancer amongst men aged 15-45. On average, around six men are diagnosed with the disease in the UK every day. The good news is that, when detected early, testicular cancer has a 98% cure rate. Making regular monthly checks can make sure any potential issues are picked up and any treatment can begin as soon as possible.

The Check Your Balls For L.I.F.E. campaign aims to remind all young men to make your checks, which take just two minutes (ideally straight after a shower or bath). L.I.F.E. is reminder of the things to look for: Lumps, Irregularities, Firmness and Enlargement. These can be caused by other things, but you should speak to your doctor immediately to make sure if you find anything of concern.
