International Women’s Day takes place on Saturday, 8th March 2025, with our celebration happening at this Saturday’s match vs Queen’s Park.

This year, we are celebrating with a variety of exciting activities to honour and uplift women both within the Club and our wider community.

As part of our celebration, we are proud to re-launch the initiative to provide free sanitary products across Stark’s Park, in partnership with supporters’ group Rovers Down South, the Raith Trust and the Raith Rovers Community Foundation.

This initiative will see free sanitary products available to all supporters on a matchday at Stark’s Park.

None of this would have been possible without the generous donations and support of Rovers Down South.

To further support the event, over 350 tote bags have been ordered and will be handed out to female supporters of both clubs on the day.

Each bag will be filled with a 10% discount voucher for our Club Shop, flyers for local women’s charities, discount vouchers from local businesses, a postcard, and a drinks mat.

There will also be a raffle ticket inside each bag, with exciting prizes including a signed away shirt for 1st place, and signed Lewis Vaughan and Dylan Easton T-Shirts for 2nd and 3rd places.

Queen’s Park is generously contributing a prize for their supporters too.

Linda Patrick, a Raith Rovers employee for over 24 years and an inspirational woman to us all, has been invited as guest of honour and to speak on the pitch at half time.

A special highlight of the day will be the half-time girls’ match on the pitch, coordinated by the Raith Rovers Community Foundation.

The girls will receive goodie bags with matchday posters, snacks, and drinks, all thanks to the generous donations from various supporters’ groups.

A special IWD-themed biscuit will also be available for purchase at the kiosk.

In the lead-up to the event, 16 gift bags will be provided to the girls attending the Train Like a Pro session on February 27th.

RaithTV will be there to cover the session and showcase some of the talented young players involved.

Supporters’ Director Dorothy Wilson commented:

“Rovers Down South has been fundamental in arranging IWD since 2019 and I have been privileged to be involved for the last three years.

Each year, the event has improved and I am delighted that this year there will be a lasting legacy of free sanitary products available to all who use Stark’s Park.

With these efforts, Raith Rovers is proud to celebrate IWD and contribute to a more inclusive, supportive environment for everyone.
