Raith Rovers Football Club is pleased to confirm that forward Callum Smith has signed a six-month contract extension, committing his future to the club beyond his current deal, which was due to expire this month.

The new deal ensures Callum remains part of the squad for the first half of next season and allows him the opportunity to continue his development and stake a claim for a long-term future at Stark’s Park.

Unfortunately, Callum’s season last year was cut short due to a serious knee injury, suffering an ACL tear that sidelined him for the last two thirds of our campaign.

Despite the setback, his response has been nothing short of exemplary.

From the early days of surgery to the daily grind of rehabilitation, Callum has demonstrated professionalism, determination, and a positive attitude that has earned him the admiration of staff and teammates alike.

Callum joined Rovers in June 2023 and has since made a big impact, making 73 appearances and scoring 12 goals.

Known for his tireless work rate, intelligent movement, and versatility across the front line, he has become a key figure in our attacking play, and should fit right into the system that Barry Robson is looking to play.

Callum’s football journey began at Cowdenbeath’s youth academy before moving to Dunfermline Athletic’s Under 15s, and later to the Fife Elite Football Academy.

He progressed through the ranks and made his first-team debut for Dunfermline in the Scottish League Cup in 2016.

His career has seen him gain valuable experience with clubs including Alloa Athletic, Arbroath, Airdrieonians, and Hamilton Academical, with notable spells that included promotion-winning campaigns and consistent performances at multiple levels of the Scottish game.

The Club would like to congratulate Callum on his new deal and look forward to many more memorable moments in a Raith Rovers shirt.
