Last night , there was a break in at Stark’s Park. A number of items have been stolen from within the stadium perimeter, in particular the scoreboard equipment and associated electronic equipment together with the Assistant Groundsman’s mountain bike. In addition, there has been considerable criminal damage to the press box in the Turnbull Hutton Stand, rendering it unusable.

Police Scotland were swiftly on the scene, just after 9.00am this morning, and it is understood that three arrests have been made. However there are a number of items still missing which it is hoped can be traced with the help of the local community. These are:-

  • Samsung 40″ Flat Screen TV (Black, model LE40b530)
  • T-Mobile / O2 mobile broadband dongles
  • Ion USB Video Converter (in Box)
  • Ethernet cable crimping tool
  • Yellow mountain bike

Please can anyone with any information on this incident or on the whereabouts of any of these items contact Police Scotland on 101, or contact the club on 01592 263514. If you’d prefer not to give your name, you can contact Crimestoppers (anonymously) online or on 0800 555 111, who will pass your information onto the police in confidence.

Chief Executive Eric Drysdale commented, “This is an appalling act of vandalism and theft, and I am glad that arrests have been made. Police enquiries are continuing, but if anyone can help us recover any of this equipment, I’d be very grateful. Obviously, the priority for the club meantime will be to try and get a press area operational in time for next Saturday.”
