Stark’s Park in Kirkcaldy, home of Raith Rovers, will host this year’s Sky Sports Victory Shield match between Scotland under-16s and England under-16s on Friday, 29th November.This is the first time the venue has been chosen for the annual match between the two sides.

The match will be Scotland’s final game of the Home Nations tournament and only one on home soil following matches against Northern Ireland on Thursday, 17th October and Wales on Thursday, 31st October.

Last year Scotland narrowly lost 1-0 to England at the Pirelli Stadium in Burton-upon-Trent in the same fixture.

England under-16s last played in Scotland in 2011 when they won 4-2 at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium in Inverness.

Scotland under-16s were last in action at Stark’s Park on 4th September when the beat Italy 3-1 in a Vauxhall International Challenge Match.

Scotland under-16 national coach Scott Booth said: “I’m really looking forward to bringing this group of players to Stark’s Park.

“Scotland teams are always well supported in Fife.

“A Scotland/England match always has a special quality to it. This will be the last match of the competition and there’s no better way to round off a Victory Shield campaign.”

Raith Rovers chief executive Eric Drysdale said: “Everyone at Raith Rovers is delighted that Stark’s Park has been chosen to host this prestigious fixture.

“We look forward to welcoming the cream of Scottish and English young talent to Kirkcaldy in November, where I am sure they will enjoy demonstrating their skills on our highly regarded playing surface.”
