Raith Rovers Football Club are taking part in this year’s #NoHomeKit campaign, in partnership with Shelter Scotland.

To show support to the campaign, at Friday evenings’ home match v Morton BOTH teams will not wear their Home kit.

Every 18 minutes, a household is made homeless in Scotland, with over 8,600 children trapped in temporary accommodation as of September 2022. And as the lasting effects of the pandemic meet a growing cost of living crisis, this problem is only set to worsen.

Campaigns like #NoHomeKit helps us at Shelter Scotland raise awareness around the scale of this problem and the circumstances of those facing homelessness, as well as generate crucial funding to end homelessness in Scotland for good.

What is #NoHomeKit?
Both football and the cause have a shared connection to ‘home’. Nothing in football symbolises this like the colours a team wears for home games. With that in mind, we’re asking clubs and fans from across the game to swap their home shirt for away, third or fourth kit colours, for one fixture only.

What is #NoHomeKit’s goal?
After a successful pilot campaign in England last year, we’re bringing #NoHomeKit back this year with a renewed focus on fundraising. With homelessness statistics on the rise, Shelter Scotland is facing its most challenging year in decades. Therefore, as well as awareness, we’re trying to raise £400k across the entire campaign.

Donations can be made online to Shelter Scotland in support of the #NoHomeKit campaign HERE.

This money will help fund our frontline services so we can help more people affected by the housing crisis find a safe, stable and affordable place to live.
