Ahead of the Foodbank collection at Stark’s Park on Saturday 17th December (when we play Arbroath), the club were represented on a visit to Kirkcaldy Foodbank this week, along with support from Rovers legend Marvin Andrews.

There will be volunteers from the Foodbank at Stark’s Park from 1.30pm, who will also accept cash donations on the day.

At the collection on 17th December, there is a focus on collecting cans of meat, soup and jars of sauce. Some biscuits would be great as a treat and toiletries would also be welcome.

Kirkcaldy Foodbank was set up in Dysart in 2013 as a short-term helping hand for people in food crisis – nearly 10 years on, it is a huge operation operating out of four local distribution points and serving more than 3,000 people a month – 35% of whom are children.

Kirkcaldy Foodbank need an income of £20k per month to cover current demand. More working people are requesting help because of the increase in cost-of-living outpacing income.

Donations from £2 per month are welcome. Gift Aid can be applied to donations & the Foodbank receive 25% more as a result.
Details on donating can be found online HERE, with one-off donations welcome along with monthly contributions.
