Raith Rovers FC are delighted to announce the appointment of our new First Team Scout.

Bryan McDonald has spent the last 3 years working with Ian Murray and Scott Agnew at Airdrie in a similar capacity.

The 47 year old has extensive football coaching experience in Scotland and the Republic of Ireland.

As a holder of a long list of coaching and Scouting qualifications from many respected international organisations (IPSO – Football Scouting / SFA – Talent Identification / SFA – Football Scout Licence / The FA – Football Scouting / The Open University – The Business of Football / Professional Football Scouts Association – Various Courses), Bryan’s job will be to observe, assess and report on upcoming opponents as well as identifying and assessing potential signing targets for the Rovers management.

Having worked with Ian Murray over the last 3 seasons, Bryan’s written reports on opponents will be invaluable in formulating tactics to suit different opponents and situations.

Speaking about the appointment, Rovers manager Ian Murray said “I’d like to welcome Bryan to Raith Rovers FC and would also like to Thank the club for securing his services.
I look forward to working with Bryan again, and his help is valued and appreciated in preparing the players and coaching staff throughout the season”
