The club would like to share an update on the progress of our players who are undergoing rehabilitation after recovering from injury – Thanks to RRFC Physiotherapist Stewart Duff for the detailed info:

Tom Lang

Central defender Tom Lang underwent an operation on his Left ACL on 11th March 2022.

At 4 months Post – Op, Tom is currently working on single leg knee strength, and has just started plyometric training with a plan to start running in 4 weeks.

 

Lewis Vaughan

Popular forward Lewis Vaughan underwent an operation on his left ACL on 25th October 2021.

He is now 8 Months Post – Op, and underwent a Left Meniscus tidy up on the 24th June 2022 which has caused a delay to his return to training.

Lewis is currently working on general strengthening and meniscus exercises, with a planned return to training at the end of September 2022.

 

Ross Mathews

Cup Final captain Matthews underwent surgery on 15th June 2022 to facilitate correction of a retracted/dislocated metatarsalphalangeal joint.

A 10/12 week rehab spell is normal for Ross’ injury – our current second-longest serving player is currently working on general strength training and toe specific exercises with an end of August / start of September return to training.

 

Brad Spencer

Midfielder Brad Spencer underwent surgery on 30th June 2022 on his foot injury.

Brad went through a complex procedure to his mid foot, with a pin placed into the base of his 5th metatarsal.

Brad will have a “moon boot” on his foot for the next few weeks. Overall rehab is expected to take 10/12 weeks from the injury date, with a return to training expected in late August / early September.
