Christophe in action v League Champions Kilmarnock

Rovers manager Ian Murray has further strengthened his coaching staff, by adding experienced defender Christophe Berra to the backroom team as First Team Coach.

Christophe will still have responsibilities as a Rovers player, but with over 2 decades of experience playing football (in the top two divisions in Scotland and England as well as winning over 40 caps for his country) – and having passed his UEFA A Licence recently – he is keen to progress on the coaching side of the game.

Speaking exclusively to www.raithrovers.net, Christophe said “Having been involved in coaching at the Rovers last season as well as playing I’m relishing the opportunity to further develop my coaching skills.  I’m grateful for the opportunity that the Manager has given me, and  I feel this is a natural progression for me going forward.

I’m looking forward to seeing the squad again this morning when pre-season training starts”
