Raith Rovers have teamed up with a member of Fife’s Finest in order to help donate to the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

The club were approached by a member of the popular supporters group, Gavin Quinn, after a friend of his in order to try and donate clothing and footballs to send over to Ukranian’s seeking refuge in Prague.

We are now delighted to confirm that the donations have been recieved in the Czech Republic and have been distributed to refugees who needed them most.

The club hope that we will be able to continue our ongoing support for the crisis in Ukraine, as well as within our local community, with support and collections in the upcoming campaign.

Rovers fan, Gavin, added:

“It was great to be a part of this and help out those in need.

“A friend of mine had been taking things like clothes and footballs over to Ukranian’s who’d fled to Poland as a result of the war.

“When i got in contact with the club, they couldn’t have been more helpful and thankfully we were able to take one of two boxes to Prague and donate the other to the Dnipro Kids project in Edinburgh.”
