The club are proud to announce that 2 members of our squad have been selected to represent their countries in upcoming international matches:

Versatile defender Frankie Musonda has been selected by Zambia for the first time.

The “Chipolopolo” are playing a Friendly match in Antalya, Turkey v The Republic of the Congo (also known as Congo Brazzaville) on Friday March the 25th, followed by a second friendly match v Guinea in Paris, France.

As part of Zambia Coach Aljosa Asanovic’s 23 man squad, Frankie will join up with Rangers striker Fashion Sakala and Brighton midfielder Enock Mwepu.

Well done Frankie! Everyone at Raith Rovers hopes you enjoy your first international experience.

 

Midfielder Ben Williamson has also been called up for Under 21 duty with Scotland. The on – loan Rangers man has already represented the national under 21 side a number of times, and joined the Rovers on 1st January 2022 on loan from the Ibrox club.

Coach Scot Gemmill’s U21s have 2 tough UEFA Under 21 Championship qualifiers coming up v Turkey on Friday at Tynecastle before flying out to Almaty to take on Kazakhstan in the Ortalyk Stadion next Tuesday.
