With the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine escalating, Type One Style are leading a collection for supplies that can be sent to T1D warriors in Ukraine. Lochlan’s Legacy, a charity to raise awareness and understanding of what Type 1 Diabetes is and how it impacts on daily life, wants your help to collect as many supplies as possible. Lochlan was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes aged only 4 years old. Our very own Goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald is a patron of Lochlan’s Legacy.

Can you help? Stark’s Park will be a drop off point on the ramp on Saturday, 5th March, at our home game v Ayr United.

Here is what is required…

  • Donate test strips, spare glucose meters, lancets, and other supplies. To somebody with nothing, spares or “good enough” kit is critical.
  • Donate sweets and non-perishables. In the absence of food, or means to cook food, diabetics face hypoglycemia. Long-life sweets like jelly babies, haribo, chocolate, moams, are important to keep sugars topped up and are easily carried and kept.
  • Donate small powerbanks. Powerbanks can help diabetics stay in touch with their families, but also to charge their receivers and phones, and more, to keep their CGMs and pumps running and stay safe. We will charge them before we ship them.

If you would like to donate insulin, then please contact organiser lesley@lochlanslegacy.co.uk
